Website Vendor Name University of Colorado Technolgy Type Website Available in DORA Available in Software Center not reported Description PHET simulations are used frequently to allow students to visualize and manipulate phenomena which are not able to be observed physically in a classroom. These include forces, particles, waves etc. A specific example would be Gas Laws in chemistry. Gas particles are difficult to observe directly and PHET simulations make it possible to observe particle behavior and manipulate variables like temperature and pressure independently. Most simulations align with NGSS standards and are useful to engage students in learning that is hard to access otherwise. Currently staff and student laptops have access to most of the content on the website. I am requesting official approval to ensure access in the future.
