I use audiobooks to supplement our reading in my ELA class, and the ads popping up in the middle of an audiobook on YouTube distract and take away from instruction. Ads in general are distracting and annoying when trying to deliver instructional material online, and serve no purpose to increase productivity. Instead, ads detract from the learning environment, hinder collaboration and communication, and impede student achievement.
