Description

Adblocking extensions help by eliminating ads from websites and youtube videos that we are showing are students. I use audiobooks to supplement our reading in my ELA class, and the ads popping up in the middle of an audiobook on YouTube distract and take away from instruction. Ads in general are distracting and annoying when trying to deliver instructional material online, and serve no purpose to increase productivity. Instead, ads detract from the learning environment, hinder collaboration and communication, and impede student achievement. While it may seem like a frivolous quality of life upgrade, teachers who depend on technology and online resources suffer from not having an ad blocker extension to block these ads.

This would need to be maintained for any and all production, development, and trial services on all district devices.
