This method is efficient and eliminates the need for hand calculations of behavioral statistics. The app keeps track of intervals in which a behavior occurs, and then the statistics are calculated and displayed at the end of the observation. The data can then be viewed on the app or shared via email. Structured observations such as the BOSS provide quantitative data which is quicker and easier to analyze.
